Celebrate Community with us on March 29th!

We are Proud to celebrate our history, our music, and our future!

As a country of immigrants, we have built a community of vitality, culture, creativity, and togetherness. In 2025, Neighborhood Music School is celebrating our 111th year, and the best way to do this is together! Join us as we present the first Celebrate Community with our friends from Piano Spheres, LACHSA, and more with a day of celebrating the unique and important gifts our families and histories have shared throughout the years. Enjoy a masterclass and rhythm workshop with Piano Spheres Stein Resident Artist, Andres Jaramillo, Musical performances from NMS students, guest artists from Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, Community Resources, Summer Classes and opportunities, and more. This event will also launch our monthly Salon Series to make music, connect resources, and celebrate community throughout the year! Please reserve free tickets below to let us know you will be there!

Neighborhood Music School was started as a Settlement House, and a gift to connect our community in music and philanthropy. Carrie Stone Freeman started the school with a $1000 gift and a belief that music education can transform individuals and communities.
