Neighborhood Music School is ready to launch!
On September 25th, 2021, Neighborhood Music School launched a capital campaign to grow, expand, and build more music with and for our community, and we need you! With the investment and belief of the Margie and Robert E. Petersen Foundation, we have begun this campaign with $2.5 million to purchase or develop a 2nd location! This seed funding allows us the foundation upon which to build with intention, enthusiasm, and achieve our mission in ways that will serve generations to come.
We know how critical it is to grow mindfully and with the full support of our NMS community, and we need you to help us build the next phase of our school! This is how you can help!

Build our Board! Our Board of Directors is a fiercely committed group of advocates who believe deeply in our mission, our community, and the work of Neighborhood Music School. In the next few years, we will grow our board to expand our vision, representation, and embark on a strategic planning course that will ensure that Neighborhood Music School is strong, supported and thriving for generations to come! The Board of Directors is comprised of two groups: the Advisory Board who focus on serving as a resource and connector to the larger music, business, and creative communities in Los Angeles and beyond, and our Governing Board, who leads the governance of the organization and is on hand to guide the mission and support the staff that guides the operations.
